ANAP (アナップ) is a Japanese clothing company founded in 1992 [1]. The brand with stores located in Harajuku and Shibuya, are popular with Gyaru for their wide variety of styles and for their affordable prices for young people and teenagers.
Concept[]
According to the official ANAP website, their concept is to create a brand that shares the fun of fashion, along with its original and free designs, to create clothing that is not restricted by rules or existing styles [2].
History[]
ANAP was established on September 22, 1992 [3], and has only continued to grow since its founding.
The company throughout its 30 years in operation have developed additional brands under the ANAP name, such as 'ANAP GIRL', 'ANAP USA' and 'ANAP Latina'.
While the brand has a strong association to Gyaru culture and style, they still provide a range of designs for varying styles, such as more modern styles for Reiwa gyaru, as well as brighter colors for the more traditional Gyaru style.
