Kalen Anzai (安斉かれん) is a Japanese singer, model and actress, active from 2019 to present.
Career History[]
Around 2015, when Anzai Kalen was in her first year of high school, she began attending avex's Harajuku academy. She made her debut in May 2019 and continues to release music through her label, avex trax. She appeared in various fashion campaigns and clothing advertisements before her debut, gaining popularity as a model and influencer.
Before her debut, she went viral as people believed she was a CGI creation, due to heavily edited video footage and a lack of performances.[1] This only helped to build her reputation as a modern and trendy artist.
In Gyaru Culture[]
On a Japanese TV show, Anzai showed pictures of herself from high school, showing her blond hair and Kogal style at the time. She describes in an interview that she did not set out to become a gyaru, but she found herself in the style growing up.[2]
