Career History[]

Kana Nishino was signed to SME Records in 2006, and she began preparing for her debut while at college. There, she met Australian duo "Nervo"; they offered her a song titled "I Don't Wanna Know", which she translated the song into Japanese. This song became her first single, titled "I". In Gyaru Culture[]

Kana Nishino became popular with many gyaru during the late 2000s and early 2010s, with her music being described as "Gyaru Enka" (gyaru heartbreak songs).[2]

Nishino has been on the cover of Popteen Magazine and Vivi Magazine, while keeping a simple gyaru-esque image. Her blonde and red, dyed hair, cute style and light gyaru makeup has helped to keep her place in the gyaru world, even into her hiatus.
