The brand's origins are unclear, with the first online record of their Shibuya 109 store dating back to June 2003, with the Japanese blog stating that the store had been revamped and reopened.[1]
Former egg Magazine model Hiromi Endo was the face of LIP SERVICE during her time at egg, and became the director of the brand, shortly after her departure with the magazine.[2]
