LOALO Summer 2022 (Vol. 1)
LOALO Magazine (ロアロ) is a Japanese magazine launched in June 2022.
It aims to bring tanning culture and resorts-wear back into popularity, with the rise of the Y2K trends worldwide[1]. It places focus on the models and the appeal of tanning, while incorporating fashion and popular trends. Their slogan is: "No Tanning, No Life!".
History[]
Founded in June 2022, LOALO is a magazine focused around tanning culture. It will be published four times a year, with a free issue released every spring, summer, autumn and winter. The free magazine will be distributed for free across tanning salons in Japan.
The name originates from the Hawaiian word 'ALOALO', meaning 'hibiscus', with the intention of bringing back the popular Hawaiian hibiscus prints from the 2000s.
LOALO also holds regular events, including beach parties[2], and Eurobeats parties.
