Tsuyome is a broad term to describe strong, extreme makeup, with a similar fashion style to Banba.[1] Many gyaru sub-styles can sometimes be described as Tsuyome. The aim of Tsuyome is to have a flashy style and makeup, similar to the idea of Haaady; Tsuyome also has a large focus on having a bold, sexy and cool style in general. Tsuyome has some of the more commonly seen fashion with cheetah/leopard print accessories or clothing with brown or black clothes.

Style Characteristics[]

  • Extreme or strong makeup
  • Long eyelashes and dramatic eye makeup
  • Light to medium tan, but not required
  • Similar to Banba and Rokku clothing style
  • Light lipstick, but never white
  • Long, decorated nails
  • Focus on leopard print clothing
  • Leg warmers (usually black)
  • Short shorts or miniskirts
  • Crimped/curled hair
  • Bleached hair (can have dark roots)
  • D.I.A belts
